There are multiple ways to schedule a zoom meeting, we’ll cover using the Chrome extension, and scheduling a meeting using Google calendar.
Using the Zoom Chrome Extension
To schedule a zoom meeting click the zoom extension icon in Chrome and choose schedule a meeting:
This will open a new Chrome tab with a new google calendar event ready to be configured:
It’s worth noting that our Calendar events default to Zoom Meetings, and the invite email includes all relevant info for our meeting.
Next, just setup your calendar event like normal, (add guests, set a day and time, whether the event repeats or not, etc).
Once you click save and send any invites, (you’ll be prompted to send to any external guests as well), your meeting is ready and will be visible on your calendar, (just like normal).
Using Google Calendar to Create Zoom Meetings
Click the Create button on your Google Calendar page:
That will open the normal Create Event dialogue. Set your event details, (day, time, title, description, attach files, invite guests, etc), then click Make it a Zoom Meeting to save the event as a Zoom meeting and send the invites.
It’s worth noting that “More options” can be used to get the traditional full screen calendar event setup.
